• Use 1/2" seam allowance and sew all seams with right sides together.
STEP 1: Cut fabric. For main panel, cut one 54" x 71" rectangle from print fabric. For side borders, cut two 10 1/2" x 71" from solid color fabric. Cut two 9" strips across width of stripe fabric. Cut one 9" x 73" strip from interfacing.
STEP 2: Assemble & hem panels. Serge side panels to main panel with short edges even or sew panels together and finish seam allowances with zigzag stitches. Press seam allowances toward border. Press side edges under in a doubled 1/2" hem and topstitch in place. Press lower edge under in a doubled 1" hem and topstitch in place.
STEP 3: Add top border. For top border, sew stripe strips together, matching stripe sequence. With seam centered, cut strip to 73" long. Follow manufacturer's instructions to fuse interfacing to wrong side of strip. Press short edges under 1/2". Sew strip to top edge of pieced panels. Press seam allowance toward top border.
Apply fusible web tape to right side of long raw edge of border and do not remove paper backing. Press edge under 1/2", using paper backing as a guide. With wrong side of shower curtain facing up, fold border strip down until folded edge just covers panel/border seam line. Remove paper backing from fusible web tape and fuse in place. On right side of shower curtain, stitch close to edge of border, catching folded edge on wrong side.
STEP 4: Apply grommets. Follow manufacturer's instructions to evenly space and apply grommets along center of top border.
STEP 5: Finish with trim. Cut 74" of tassel trim. Sew to curtain at bottom edge of top border, wrapping trim ends to wrong side.
STEP 6: Hang shower curtain. To hang shower curtain, insert shower curtain rod through grommets as shown. To protect fabric shower curtain from water damage, use hook and loop tape to attach a purchased shower curtain liner to wrong side of shower curtain.
